Gnomestones presents

Treasures of the Crazy Seawitch Pirate Queen

They say she was the greatest pirate the seas had ever seen. Well they say a lot of things. Don't see her around now, do yee? Only pirate scum like us left now, searching for the treasures she already found and hid again, like children on a Flower Day egg hunt.

I wish so many young captains did not have to die in search of such a terrible thing, but they can't help themselves. There are other treasures to seek under the sun, ones that aren't waterlogged and twice cursed at least. Ones that won't put a target on your back for any half-salted pirate this side of Kyroa. Steer clear, I say. Maybe they would too, if it warn't for all the damned clues she left. Pirates can never say no to a clue, it's like they can taste the treasure even as their mouths fill with their own blood.

The gnomic crew of the Waveslicer

Found the vaults of the triton kings she did, deep under the sea. Ulf knows how she did it. All the riches of the lost lords of the tides, and think of the power. More than any small thing like us should have. They say she warn't so crazy back then, so I've heard at least. And now where do you think she's gone off to? Can't be someplace good.

No, if I were you, I'd be looking for any treasure other than the ones hidden by the Crazy Seawitch Pirate Queen. Of course, if you've already looted one of her lairs, you'll probably have to go abouts plundering the rest of them. That's the thing about curses, ain't it, once you've got one you've just got to keep your head down and keep fighting forward. And I can tell by the look of you, you've got one. Or has it got you? Bit of a romance, really, curses.

Old Dilgersfield's Riddle

Step 1: Recover pieces eight
Of iron wrought and leather tanned
Step 2: Assemble pieces eight
Without mistake by your own hand
Step 3: Position pieces near
The starboard railing or else port
Step 4: Intone your deepest fear
And meet me in the Triton's court
